About Justin Grimm, founder of Ghostworx Hi, I’m Justin.

I started Ghostworx to take IT off the plates of contractor owners and office managers: the computers, email, accounts, phones and job software a business runs on.

Ghostworx is founder-led, so you deal with me directly.

Yes, that’s really me.Justin Grimm, founder of Ghostworx

My background

I joined Projul, project-management software for construction companies, at its start in 2018.

My title was Technical Project Manager, but the job covered much more. I built the mobile app, worked on the back end, infrastructure and integrations, helped with product decisions and testing, and took support calls from the contractors using it.

I come from software development, and I’ve also worked inside a managed IT provider: help desk, systems administration, onboarding new clients and projects, and building the automation behind it. So I know this kind of service from the inside.

I also do technical work for a digital marketing agency that serves contractors. That’s separate from Ghostworx, and marketing isn’t part of the IT plans.

Why contractors

Building and supporting construction software, and working alongside contractor marketing, put me close to how these businesses run: estimates, schedules and job photos moving between the office and the field, on a mix of computers, phones and cloud apps.

There’s rarely anyone whose job is keeping all of that working, so it lands on the owner or the office manager. Ghostworx fills that gap with everyday support for the tools you already use, and the maintenance that keeps problems from starting.

How Ghostworx runs

One person responsible

When a problem touches your email, your job software and your phone carrier, one person owns the investigation, the coordination and the updates, including when another provider has to make the fix.

Your systems stay yours

Your business accounts and subscriptions stay in your name, and your documentation goes with you if you leave. Our management, protection and backup tools are included in the service.

Maintenance before emergencies

Updates, protection and backup checks happen on a schedule, not only when something breaks.

Plain answers about scope

What’s routine support and what’s a project is agreed up front, so you know what you’re paying for before work starts.

What working with me looks like

Right now I provide the service myself. I’m based in the Seattle area. Support is remote for businesses across the US, and on-site visits nearby are available by arrangement.

  • One point of contact who knows your setup
  • Your systems documented, so nothing depends on anyone’s memory
  • Straight answers about what’s covered and what it costs
  • Updates in plain language, by text, email or phone

Let’s see if Ghostworx fits.
